A tour? A tour!

Yessirmadams, a tour!

Almost.

Here's what's confirmed:

Ottawa Fringe, Regina Fringe, Winnipeg Fringe, Calgary Fringe, Victoria Fringe, Vancouver Fringe

Here's what's up in the air:

Edmonton Fringe, Boulder Fringe, Toronto.

Toronto. Just, "Toronto". No Fringe. No Fringe! No Fringe? Why no Toronto Fringe?

Well, like so many other Fringes this season, I just didn't get in. It's not been a great season for lottery luck. In Winnipeg I decided to rent a BYOV. In Edmonton, I've had trouble even finding that. In Toronto, I found some options, but decided that it would make my tour too expensive. I live here after all, I can mount my show any time I want! When I'm in town. So, the current plan is to rent a theatre in Toronto in October and do a run of 4-6 performances as a closer to the 2008 tour. Maybe there will actually be some people in town - unlike Toronto Fringe itself...!

And since I didn't get into Toronto, I'm sending "Old Growth" to Regina Fringe - a petite, young Fringe in a petite capital city with the best durned beer in the country (Bushwakker brewpub). Regina is the first of three new festivals for me - Calgary and Victoria are also new ground.

It's a riskier tour than last year. What I don't know yet is whether the show is more or less risky than "The Fugue Code" was.

I'm practicin' the coin magic. And writing of course. Next week I'll be in Ottawa for more proto-rehearsals. Good times...
